How to Make Pecan Sandies

All you need to make this recipe for pecan sandies is five easy ingredients, flour, butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract and chopped pecans! Start by creaming together the butter and brown sugar, then add in the vanilla extract.

Slowly add in the flour until well combined then fold in the chopped pecans. Roll the dough into a log on a piece of parchment paper. Wrap the paper around the dough and chill for at least one hour.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove from the refrigerator and slice into ½ in rounds. Place on the cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack.

After cooling, you can store these cookies in an airtight container on the counter for up to five days, if they last that long! If you don’t feel like baking them right away or want them to be fresh when served, you can keep the dough in the fridge for up to three days.
