Quick Bathroom Refresh

Grab some disinfecting wipes and quickly clean off the bathroom sink and counter. Replace that empty toilet paper roll with a new one, and if you’ve got an extra second, give the mirror a quick once-over. A clean bathroom feels so refreshing, even if it’s just the basics. And 10 minutes is usually more than enough time to get these quick tasks done.

Start The Dishwasher

If your sink is full of dishes, commit to loading the dishwasher. Don’t worry about scrubbing every pot and pan; just get the basics in there. Turn it on and say a quick prayer of thanks for a machine that does the dirty work for you.

A little note

For MANY years I did not have a dishwasher, and I know many people don’t. Honestly, I was very frustrated because my sink was almost always full of dirty dishes. But then I learned something that changed my perspective: it takes less than 10 minutes to wash dishes. If you set a timer and just focus on getting them done, it feels like no time at all. Also, using paper plates 3 or 4 nights per week helps a LOT.

Do A Laundry Sprint

Set a timer for 10 minutes and pick up laundry from around the house—dirty clothes, towels, or rogue socks hiding under the couch. Toss them in the hamper or washer and boom—instant progress.

If this isn’t a problem area for you, then you can do what I do – an ironing sprint! I do not like to iron so setting a timer for 10 minutes and just focusing on getting as much ironing done as possible in that time works wonders.
